What neurowellness actually means
Neurowellness is an umbrella term for practices and technologies aimed at regulating the nervous system. The premise comes from neuroscience: the body functions through two important systems. On the one hand there is the sympathetic nervous system, which becomes active during stress or action. It raises the heart rate, sharpens focus and prepares the body for exertion. Sleep rhythm: Regular sleep times support the brain's natural recovery cycle. During deep sleep, waste products are removed from the brain, among other things.
Movement: Gentle movement such as walking, yoga or swimming helps to release tension in the nervous system. At the same time, physical exertion supports the resilience of the stress system.
Cold and heat: Sauna, cold showers or contrast therapy give the nervous system controlled stimuli. As a result, your system becomes more flexible in dealing with stress.
